THE BOYZ's Younghoon Praises Noodle Restaurant in 'Home Alone' Spin-off, Kim Dae-ho Shows Jealousy?
The upcoming episode of MBC's 'Find Me a Home' (working title: 'Home Alone' Spin-off), airing on the 18th, will feature a special segment titled 'Noodle Road in Seoul.' This part of the show will explore various noodle hotspots across the city.
Joining the mission to discover delectable noodle dishes are broadcaster Hong Seok-cheon, THE BOYZ member Younghoon, and Kim Dae-ho. Their journey begins in Yeouido, where Kim Dae-ho, having spent four years of his 14-year tenure at MBC in the area, is expected to share his extensive knowledge of local eateries.
Kim Dae-ho leads the team to a renowned buckwheat noodle restaurant, a favorite among Yeouido office workers. Upon tasting the noodles, which boast 40 years of history, Younghoon exclaimed, 'This is truly delicious. It's within the top 3 buckwheat noodles I've ever had.' Hong Seok-cheon also shared his past experience opening a Thai restaurant in Yeouido, candidly admitting his failure due to a lack of understanding of the fast-paced commercial district.
Following their culinary exploration, the trio visits a large apartment complex in Yeouido, built in 1971. This historic complex, recognized as Korea's first of its kind, was revolutionary for its time, even installing an elevator, which required 98 attendants initially. Despite its retro exterior, the interior has been fully remodeled, boasting a stylish and clean design. The team was captivated by the lush green views from the spacious living room with its high ceilings and a unique space within the apartment.
During the house tour, a playful tension arises when Hong Seok-cheon shows particular attention to Younghoon, leading Kim Dae-ho to express his displeasure. Kim Dae-ho, transforming into '꼰대호' (a term implying an older, lecturing figure), points out Younghoon's actions, drawing boos from the studio audience. Hong Seok-cheon lightens the mood by joking, 'Kim Dae-ho was also my gem when he was a rookie, but he fell out of the gem box after appearing on 'I Live Alone,' eliciting laughter.
Younghoon, a member of the K-pop group THE BOYZ, debuted in 2018 and has been actively engaged in music and acting. His appearance on 'Find Me a Home' is anticipated to showcase his culinary insights and genuine reactions, bringing entertainment to viewers. He has previously garnered significant affection for his witty remarks and relatable charm on various variety shows.
