Singer Sung Si-kyung has officially apologized and admitted to the unregistered operation of his one-person agency, 'SK Jae Won'.

In a statement released on his social media on the 18th, Sung Si-kyung expressed his sincere apologies for causing concern to many people. He explained that while establishing and operating his one-person agency since 2011, he failed to properly recognize and comply with the registration system for entertainment business operators, which was introduced in 2014.

He emphasized that this oversight was a simple mistake and clarified that the failure to register was unrelated to any intent of income evasion or tax evasion. Sung Si-kyung also stated that he is currently undergoing the necessary education and promptly completing the registration procedures.

It was revealed on the 16th that 'SK Jae Won', the agency operated by Sung Si-kyung, had been operating without the required registration since its establishment in 2011. His elder sister serves as the legal representative, and Sung Si-kyung has been active through this agency since his contract with Jellyfish Entertainment ended in 2018.

Current laws mandate that entertainment agencies must complete relevant registrations, and failure to comply can result in penalties. An investigation into this matter is currently underway by the police.

Sung Si-kyung, who debuted in 1999, is a singer-songwriter beloved for his exceptional vocal skills and sweet tone. He has released numerous hit songs such as 'Geori-eseo', 'Jazz Cafe', and 'Naege Oneun Gil', solidifying his position as a representative vocalist in the Korean music industry. Furthermore, he has actively participated as an MC in variety shows, gaining immense popularity for his witty remarks and approachable charm.
