'BOYS PLANET' Final 16 Revealed! Debut Group on the Verge of Formation Amidst Unprecedented Voting Frenzy

Mnet's global idol survival show 'BOYS PLANET' has unveiled the 16 contestants who will compete in the grand finale, heightening the anticipation for the debut group's formation amidst an intense voting atmosphere.

The show demonstrated its worldwide popularity by recording over 32.52 million votes from 213 countries and regions in the fourth round of global voting. Notably, the voting period just before the finale saw approximately 2.42 million participants, surpassing the interest shown in the previous season.

The 10th episode, aired on the 18th, announced the 16 finalists who survived the fierce competition. Lee Sang-won maintained his undisputed first place with 8.28 million points, while Jo Woo-jin (2nd) and Rii-rio (3rd), along with Kim Geon-woo, Zhang Jia-hao, Xu Xin-long, Kim Jun-su, and Jeong Sang-hyeon, secured spots in the TOP 8, signaling a heated debut race.

A miraculous comeback was also witnessed. Park Dong-kyu climbed an impressive 10 places from the bottom (24th) in the second elimination round to secure a spot in the finale at 14th place. Zhang Jia-hao entered the TOP 8 for the first time. YUMEKU, Jeon Lee-jeong, and Kang Woo-jin also made dramatic climbs in rankings to secure their final tickets, completing a story of resilience.

The finalists expressed their gratitude to the star creators and vowed to do their best, carrying the hopes of those who departed, leaving a touching sentiment.

'BOYS PLANET' is a new global idol survival program by Mnet, featuring a system where debut members are determined by global viewer votes.
