Global entertainment powerhouse HYBE has officially launched its Indian subsidiary, 'HYBE INDIA ENTERTAINMENT PRIVATE LIMITED,' marking a significant expansion into one of the world's largest music markets.

This strategic move makes India HYBE's fifth overseas headquarters, following successful ventures in Japan, the Americas, Latin America, and China. The company chose Mumbai, a vibrant hub for Bollywood, contemporary art, and performing arts, as the ideal base for its operations in India.

HYBE INDIA's mission is powerfully stated as 'WHERE VOICES OF INDIA BECOME GLOBAL STORIES,' signaling its ambition to discover and nurture local talent, then introduce these artists to the global stage with their authentic Indian essence.

To achieve this, HYBE INDIA plans to conduct local auditions to scout emerging artists and implement a training system specifically tailored to the Indian music scene. Furthermore, the company will actively support the local activities of existing HYBE MUSIC GROUP artists within India.

India, with its massive population and burgeoning music industry, presents a fertile ground for K-pop's growth. Data shows a staggering 362% surge in K-pop music streaming in India between 2018 and 2023, driven by increasing smartphone penetration and accessibility to streaming services.

The establishment of HYBE INDIA is a key part of HYBE's 'Multi-home, Multi-genre' strategy, spearheaded by Chairman Bang Si-hyuk. This approach focuses on integrating HYBE's renowned K-pop production system with local cultures to cultivate world-class artists.

Leveraging HYBE's comprehensive 360-degree capabilities in artist scouting, training, album production, management, marketing, and concert planning, HYBE INDIA is poised to connect Indian artistry with the global music landscape, promising to unveil a new wave of talent.

HYBE Corporation is a South Korean entertainment and lifestyle platform company founded by Bang Si-hyuk.
