KBS 1TV's new daily drama, 'Mari and the Eccentric Dads,' is set to premiere in October, raising anticipation for the daily lives of a three-generation family portrayed by Ha Seung-ri, Park Eun-hye, and Geum Bo-ra.

The drama, subtitled 'Mari's Chaotic Journey to Find Her Dad,' promises a lively depiction of an unconventional family, bound by ties stronger than blood and more tenacious than DNA. The narrative is expected to be particularly intriguing as it delves into a family saga centered around a birth secret.

Newly released stills showcase Ha Seung-ri as Kang Mari, Park Eun-hye as Joo Si-ra, and Geum Bo-ra as Yoon Soon-ae, offering a glimpse into the unfolding story. In the drama, Kang Mari, the eldest and only daughter, matures early due to her chaotic family. She juggles studies and part-time jobs, serving as a reliable pillar of support for her mother, Si-ra, despite her reserved expressions of affection.

However, Mari harbors a secret: she has been secretly communicating with her father, Kang Min-bo (played by Hwang Dong-joo), whom she was separated from after her parents' divorce when she was seven. This revelation creates a rift between Mari and her mother, Si-ra, especially when Min-bo returns to Korea to discuss Mari's studies abroad. The mother-daughter relationship is further complicated as Mari becomes entangled with her senior schoolmate Lee Kang-se (played by Hyun Woo), and Si-ra with Kang-se's older brother, Lee Pung-ju (played by Ryu Jin).

Furthermore, Si-ra and her mother, Soon-ae (Geum Bo-ra), live together. Soon-ae, known for her sharp tongue and witty remarks, frequently bickers with her divorced daughter Si-ra. Despite their arguments, a delightful chemistry is expected to bloom between them. Their dynamic, oscillating between friends and rivals, promises to bring joy, but their relationship will also face tension with Min-bo's return and the unveiling of Si-ra's hidden secret.

The story is expected to resonate deeply with viewers as it portrays a 'real family' navigating through betrayal, hurt, and eventual reconciliation. Si-ra and Soon-ae feel betrayed upon discovering Mari's contact with Min-bo, leading to unintentional wounds in Mari, despite their best efforts to raise her well. As conflicts involving people around Mari intensify, the three women will inevitably hurt each other with harsh words and actions. The narrative focusing on their journey between arguments and making up is poised to highlight the complexities of familial bonds.

'Mari and the Eccentric Dads,' following 'Grab the Luck,' is scheduled to premiere on KBS 1TV on Monday, October 13th, at 8:30 PM.

Ha Seung-ri, who began her career as a child actress, has honed her acting skills through numerous projects. In 'Mari and the Eccentric Dads,' she takes on the role of Kang Mari, a character with complex inner emotions, marking a new acting transformation. This role is expected to solidify her position as a leading adult actress.
