The 13th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF) is proving to be a resounding success, continuing to deliver explosive laughter to audiences well into its second week since opening on August 29th. Esteemed shows like "Gag Concert" and "Ahn Young-mi Show" have consistently sold out, underscoring BICF's status as Asia's premier comedy event. The festival promises an even richer lineup of performances leading up to its grand finale.

Highlights for the coming days include the unique "Comedy Book Concert," curated by first-generation Korean comedy icon Jeon Yu-seong. Scheduled for September 6th, this event at Dongseo University will feature comedians like Lee Hong-ryeol and Jung Sun-hee, who have authored books, engaging in a delightful discussion where literature meets laughter. Furthermore, the "MICF Roadshow in Busan," a collaboration with Australia's Melbourne International Comedy Festival, returns after a successful debut, offering a rare chance to experience global English stand-up comedy. On September 6th, the "Seoul Comedy All-Stars 2nd" will showcase top talents like Kim Dong-ha and Danny Cho with their sharp, unscripted humor. Additionally, popular YouTube comedy creators from "Heegeukinzu" and "Kkilkkil Sanghoe" will take the stage with "Heegeuk Sanghoe" on September 7th.

The festival will culminate with the star-studded closing performance, "I Am a Gag Singer," on September 7th at the Busan Cultural Center Grand Theater. Featuring comedians turned singers like Park Seong-ho and Kim Na-hee, and hosted by veteran Lee Hong-ryeol, this hybrid show promises a blend of music and comedy, ensuring a truly unforgettable finale filled with both humor and heartfelt moments.
