Netflix has officially greenlit the production of its new series, tentatively titled 'Road,' unveiling a powerhouse cast that includes Son Suk-ku, Eita Nagayama, Kim Shin-rok, Choi Sung-eun, and Jung Jae-young.

'Road' plunges into the dark underbelly of a cross-border serial killer case. The narrative kicks off with a gruesome discovery in Tokyo: a body contorted into a horrific shape. A chilling message written in Korean blood found near the victim sends shockwaves through Japan. Soon after, a similar case emerges in South Korea, featuring a similarly mutilated body and a message in Japanese, revealing a chilling pattern that links the two nations and confirms a string of homicides.

The series follows two detectives, one from South Korea and one from Japan, as they collaborate in a high-stakes joint investigation to unravel the mystery behind the brutal killings. Helmed by Director Han Jun-hee, known for his acclaimed works 'D.P.' and 'Coin Locker Girl,' and based on the popular webtoon 'Blue Road,' 'Road' promises a tense and intricate plot. Writer Jo Yoo-jin, who previously worked on 'Pilot,' will adapt the webtoon, ensuring a unique cinematic flair that elevates the original story.

Director Han described the project as a "transnational detective story that intensely follows two detectives as they dedicate their entire being to catching the culprit." With Han's signature visual style and compelling storytelling, 'Road' is poised to deliver an immersive and gripping viewing experience, expanding on the beloved webtoon's foundation.

Son Suk-ku recently captivated audiences with his portrayal of a chilling serial killer in the Netflix series 'A Killer Paradox.' He has established himself as a 'must-see actor' by flawlessly embodying diverse characters with his exceptional acting prowess. His role as a villain in the blockbuster film 'The Roundup' also significantly contributed to its massive box office success.
