MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'My Death is My Choice' concluded its run, leaving viewers with profound questions about assisted suicide.

In the final episode, Woo So-jung (Lee Bo-young) found herself at a crossroads once again when a patient suffering from extreme pain requested assisted death. Kim Sun-joo (Kim Young-ok), with the help of her daughter Young-eun (Kim Kook-hee), sought to hasten her final moments, but tragically, her daughter lost her life in an accident instead.

As Kim Sun-joo's dementia worsened, she once again asked Woo So-jung for help. Detective Ban Ji-hoon (Lee Min-ki) also experienced a shift in his views on assisted suicide. Amidst the chaos, Woo So-jung, holding a vial of Benvofital, desperately pleaded to Ban Ji-hoon, "Help me," marking a poignant end.

Although the drama ended with a somewhat disappointing viewership rating of 1.2%, it left a lasting impression by raising societal questions about human dignity, the value of life, and assisted suicide. Actors Lee Bo-young, Lee Min-ki, and Kang Ki-young received praise for their perfect portrayal of their characters through bold transformations. 'My Death is My Choice,' which combined a weighty social message with genre thrills, concluded by posing the fundamental question to society: 'What kind of life will we live?'
