In the 7th episode of the tvN weekend drama 'King's Chef,' aired on the 13th, Yeon Ji-yeong (Im Yoon-ah) was depicted striving to prepare for a cooking competition against Ming Dynasty chefs. Ji-yeong explained the necessity of a pressure cooker for the competition to Lee Heon (Lee Chae-min), emphasizing the fusion of cooking and science.

Initially seeking the descendant of the renowned scientist Jang Yeong-sil, Ji-yeong was disappointed to learn he was a figure from a past era. Chang Seon (Jang Gwang) then recommended Jang Chun-saeng (Ko Chang-seok), a master craftsman. However, Chun-saeng was initially reluctant to help.

To win over Jang Chun-saeng, Ji-yeong skillfully prepared a Dongnae pajeon, piquing his interest. As Chun-saeng was drawn in by the delicious pancake, Ji-yeong revealed her true identity as someone from a different time. She passionately conveyed her deep love for cooking and her desire to showcase Joseon's flavors to the Ming delegation. Her heartfelt persuasion ultimately convinced Chun-saeng to agree to build the pressure cooker.
