Jun. K, a member of the iconic K-pop group 2PM, has opened up about JYP Entertainment's founder and executive producer, Park Jin-young, who was recently appointed as the co-chairperson of the Presidential Commission on Future & Vision.

Jun. K is set to release his third mini-album, ‘I'm into,’ on the 15th at 6 PM KST. This marks his return to the solo music scene just three months after his digital single ‘Simple dance’ in June. It's a swift comeback, following his second mini-album ‘23, Male, Single’ (released in January 2018) after a significant 7-year and 5-month hiatus as a solo artist.

The new album ‘I'm into’ features a total of five tracks, including the title song ‘Think Too Much (Feat. DAMINI),’ ‘Carpet,’ ‘Swamp,’ ‘Reality,’ and ‘Home Vacation.’ Jun. K has penned credits for all the songs, showcasing his skills as a singer-songwriter.

Reflecting on his solo projects, Jun. K mentioned a shift in his creative process. While in the past he directly consulted with Park Jin-young for album preparations, this time he collaborated closely with his dedicated music team. "As the company grew and its systems evolved, I now think of the music team as Park Jin-young himself when exchanging ideas and working on projects," he explained. "I can't rely solely on Park Jin-young forever. I trust the team members who are responsible for me, and we've completed the album through mutual trust and discussion."

Describing his relationship with Park Jin-young, Jun. K shared, "Having known him for so long, I speak to him as openly as I would with family. It feels like an uncle and nephew relationship." He added, "Even when I express dissatisfaction or make demands without holding back, Park Jin-young always listens to me and meets me at my eye level. His non-authoritative communication style makes it impossible not to be moved." He further commented, "During the contract renewal, I felt once again that there's so much to learn at JYP. Realizing there's no deceit in communication with Park Jin-young, I believe there's still a lot I can and will do here."

Regarding Park Jin-young's recent appointment, Jun. K expressed his surprise. "As his student, junior, and even younger brother, I was curious about the courage, plans, vision, and mindset required for such a role," he said. "I eagerly anticipate what he will achieve, given his consistent drive to challenge himself and avoid complacency."

Meanwhile, following his comeback, Jun. K is scheduled to hold his solo concert ‘2025 Jang Wooyoung Concert < half half >’ on October 27th and 28th at YES24 Live Hall in Seoul, promising an unforgettable experience for his fans.

Jun. K, also known as Jang Wooyoung, debuted with the group 2PM in 2008 and has also pursued a solo career since 2011. Beyond his music, he has showcased his talents as an actor and entertainer across various media. His music is celebrated for its delicate emotional depth and trendy sound.
