Jang Seo-hee Speaks Out to Politicians on 'My Baby Was Born Again' About Working Mothers' Struggles

Actress Jang Seo-hee delivered a heartfelt message to politicians on the TV Chosun variety show 'My Baby Was Born Again' (Woori Agi), addressing the challenges faced by working mothers amidst the nation's low birth rate crisis.

The episode featured the emotional story of a mother expecting quadruplets, who expressed deep concern about her babies' ability to breathe on their own, especially given their low birth weights ranging from 900g to 1.2kg. She had received a 'lung maturation' injection to aid their development.

The mother also revealed she was advised to undergo a 'selective reduction,' a procedure explained by OB/GYN specialist Kim Ji-yeon as a way to mitigate the high risks and complications associated with carrying quadruplets, by selectively aborting some fetuses to protect the health of the mother and the remaining babies.

Responding to this difficult situation, Jang Seo-hee, who is over 40, stated boldly, "I have nothing to fear anymore." She urged, "Politicians, please watch this program and see what parents truly need. Create an environment where working mothers can work without worry."
