Veteran Actress Jeon Won-ju Worries About Inheritance Tax at 86
Veteran actress Jeon Won-ju has revealed her deep concerns regarding inheritance issues as she approaches her later years.
On the KBS 2TV program ‘Boss in the Mirror’, which aired on the 7th, Jeon Won-ju met with lawyer Kim Hee-joon to have a candid conversation about the practicalities of inheritance tax.

The lawyer also suggested business ventures like a bakery cafe as a means to reduce inheritance tax through the family business inheritance deduction system, which offers deductions up to 60 billion won for businesses operated for over 10 years. However, he noted this might be challenging for the 86-year-old.
Jeon Won-ju shared her habit of collecting gold, mentioning she had accumulated it over 20-30 years, purchasing it at around 40,000 won per 'don' (approx. 3.75 grams) at the time, surprising many. She also frankly admitted, "I feel I should write a will at my age, but when I think about writing it, it feels like I'm about to die, so I've been holding back."
Lawyer Kim proposed drafting a mock will and explained the legal validity of holographic wills, emphasizing that computer-generated documents are not effective. As Jeon Won-ju completed the mock will, she shared, "Writing this makes me feel strange."
