Yoon Jung-soo Unveils Fiancée Won Jin-seo, Former Sports Anchor Known as 'Guangzhou Goddess'

On the latest episode of TV CHOSUN's 'Joseon's Lover', Yoon Jung-soo made a long-awaited public appearance with his fiancée, Won Jin-seo.

The program captured Yoon Jung-soo's palpable nervousness as he arrived to meet his soon-to-be wife, with both sharing moments of awkwardness due to the unprecedented situation. Yoon Jung-soo explained his decision to introduce her now, stating, "I wasn't hiding her; I wanted to wait until she felt comfortable, and now feels like the right timing."

Won Jin-seo, who was formerly known as sports announcer Won Ja-hyun, revealed her current name. This announcement surprised and delighted co-hosts Choi Sung-gook and Kim Kook-jin, who fondly recalled her as the "sports goddess" recognized by "all Korean men." Choi Sung-gook humorously expressed his astonishment, saying, "I can't believe Jung-soo is marrying announcer Won Ja-hyun!"

While now using the name Won Jin-seo, she gained widespread fame as the "Guangzhou Goddess" during the 2010 Asian Games. She has since transitioned to become a Pilates instructor of nine years, having been away from broadcasting for about six years since 2019. She shared, "After the Guangzhou Games, I worked as a reporter for current affairs programs and in-house announcer," explaining her hiatus. "My partner gave me the courage to appear on this show together," she added.

Won Jin-seo affectionately described Yoon Jung-soo as "just cute in every way," her eyes full of love. Yoon Jung-soo, visibly shy, admitted, "I've been on many dating shows, but this is the first time I'm publicly revealing someone I truly like." The couple's sweet interactions charmed viewers.

Won Jin-seo, previously known as sports announcer Won Ja-hyun, became a household name as the "Guangzhou Goddess" during the 2010 Asian Games. After a successful broadcasting career, she stepped away from the spotlight around 2019. For the past nine years, she has dedicated herself to teaching Pilates, embracing a new chapter in her life.
