Dayoung, a member of the popular K-pop group WJSN (Cosmic Girls), is set to release her first solo album after nine years in the industry. The digital single, titled 'gonna love me, right?', is scheduled for release today (9th) at 6 PM KST across various music platforms.

This marks a significant milestone for Dayoung, who has been actively involved in the planning, writing, and composing of the album. 'gonna love me, right?' aims to convey themes of 'confidence' and 'love,' with Dayoung posing the question, "Are you going to love me, right?" while simultaneously asserting, "You will love me!" This bold message reflects her genuine feelings and her invitation to listeners into her meticulously crafted musical world.

The album features a total of three tracks, including the title song 'body,' and other songs like 'number one rockstar' and 'marry me.' Dayoung plans to present these tracks in her unique style, blending boldness, honesty, and playfulness to create a cohesive and compelling narrative. Notably, 'marry me,' which she co-wrote and composed, highlights her cheerful energy and distinctive persona.

The title track 'body' has already garnered attention with its teaser, showcasing Dayoung's transformative image. The song boasts a powerful beat, an addictive hook, and Dayoung's refreshing vocals, evoking the feeling of late summer. She defines the song's core message as "Emotion and attitude come before words," exploring how to convey feelings through actions rather than speech on stage. The track portrays the protagonist as someone brimming with confidence, capable of expressing love with just a glance.

Anticipation is high for the new image Dayoung will present through 'gonna love me, right?'. Over the past nine years, she has consistently challenged herself to develop her own artistic color through her activities with WJSN and its sub-unit WJSN Chocome. Dayoung is expected to vividly express this accumulated experience across her vocals, rap, and performance, proving her growth and journey not only through her music but also on stage.

Dayoung will officially begin her solo promotions with the release of 'gonna love me, right?' and its title track 'body' today at 6 PM KST.

Dayoung debuted as a member of WJSN in 2015.

She is known for her role as the main rapper and sub-vocalist within the group.

Recently, Dayoung participated in the OST for the Netflix series 'Sweet Home 2', showcasing her diverse activities.
