Actor Lee Jun-young has officially been cast in the upcoming JTBC drama 'Rookie Chairman Kang,' penned by renowned writer Kim Soon-ok, marking his return to the small screen in 2026.

'Rookie Chairman Kang' is based on a web novel and tells the story of a chaebol chairman who finds himself living a second, unwanted life after an accident. With Kim Soon-ok, known for her hit dramas like 'The Penthouse,' participating as the creator, anticipation is already high.

Lee Jun-young will portray Hwang Jun-hyun, a promising football player whose soul gets swapped with that of a chaebol chairman, Kang Yong-ho. He is expected to showcase a dual performance, embodying both the youthful passion of an athlete and the shrewd acumen of a seasoned CEO.
