SEVENTEEN's Jun Finds New Life in Acting, 'Experiencing a New Soul'

SEVENTEEN member Jun is deeply immersed in his acting pursuits, viewing each role as an opportunity for profound personal experience. In a recent interview with ELLEMEN FRESH magazine, Jun shared his insights from starring in the Chinese crime thriller "The Shadow's Edge," where he plays Hu Feng, a significant figure in a criminal syndicate.

"Every time I take on a different role, it feels like experiencing a new soul and living a second life. It’s a very exciting process," Jun stated. The film, released in China on August 16, has already achieved remarkable success, surpassing 1 billion yuan (approximately $137 million) in ticket sales within its first three weeks.

Korean fans will have the chance to experience this cinematic work firsthand. Jun is scheduled to attend the Busan International Film Festival's Open Cinema section on September 19, followed by fan meet-and-greets and Q&A sessions in Seoul from September 20-21, with tickets selling out almost instantly.

He further elaborated on his approach to new challenges, likening the process to constructing a wall: "Starting something new is like building a wall. You have to place each brick by hand, and it’s not just about creating the form — you have to pour your soul into it."

Jun also graced the cover of ELLEMEN FRESH's seventh-anniversary issue, showcasing a diverse range of styles from elaborate ruffles to classic autumn trench coats, highlighting his dynamic energy and mature charisma. Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is preparing for their world tour, SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_], which commences on September 13-14 at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium and will extend to Hong Kong, North America, and a four-dome tour in Japan.
