Jang Dong-yoon Admits He's Been a 4th-Year Student for a Decade

Actor Jang Dong-yoon has revealed that he is still in his fourth year of university, a status he has maintained for ten years.

In a YouTube video uploaded on the channel 'An So-hee' on the 12th, Jang Dong-yoon expressed his fondness for Hanyang University, calling it his second hometown. He mentioned that he is from the same agency and is the same age as fellow actor An So-hee, and is an alumnus of Hanyang University's Department of Economics and Finance.

When asked about his academic progress, Jang Dong-yoon candidly confessed, "Unfortunately, I haven't been able to graduate yet. I've been a fourth-year student for 10 years," eliciting laughter. He then confidently introduced his favorite local eateries around the university, jokingly referring to himself as 'Detective Jang of Wangsimni'. Jang Dong-yoon first gained public attention after appearing on SBS News as a courageous university student who apprehended a convenience store robber before debuting as an actor.

Jang Dong-yoon graduated from Hanyang University with a major in Economics and Finance, and was known for his excellent academic performance since high school. In 2015, he gained attention after appearing on broadcast for apprehending a convenience store robber as a university student, leading to his debut in the entertainment industry. He is also known to have lost 7kg before his debut to refine his appearance.
