Big Hit Music's New Group CORTIS Dominates Debut Charts, Surpassing 400,000 Sales

Big Hit Music's highly anticipated new boy group, CORTIS, has made a powerful debut, securing the title of 'Rookie of the Year' with their first album.

According to Hanteo Chart, a leading album sales tracker, CORTIS's debut album ‘COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES’ claimed the top spot on the daily album chart for two consecutive days (September 14-15). The album sold a remarkable 436,367 copies in its first week of release (September 8-14), landing at second place on the weekly album chart.

This achievement makes CORTIS the only rookie group debuting this year to surpass 400,000 initial album sales (first week sales), placing their debut album fourth in K-pop history for initial sales. This feat is particularly impressive considering the group has no audition program alumni or previously debuted members.

CORTIS is also making waves on music charts, further solidifying their status as top rookies. Their songs 'GO!' (4th), title track ‘What You Want’ (8th), and follow-up track ‘FaSHioN’ (10th) all charted within the top 10 of Apple Music Korea's 'Today's Top 100' as of September 13th. The title track ‘What You Want’ held the number one position on Spotify's 'Global Viral Song' chart for a week (September 1-7), while 'GO!' topped the chart for three consecutive days (September 9-11), making CORTIS the only rookie group this year to achieve number one on this chart.

As the first new group launched by Big Hit Music, a label under HYBE, in six years since BTS and TXT, CORTIS is bringing a fresh dynamic to the K-pop scene as a 'Young Creator Crew' that jointly creates their music, choreography, and visuals.
