Song Ga-in's management agency has bowed its head in apology following revelations that her personal entertainment company, Gaindal Entertainment, was operating without the required registration as a cultural arts planning business.

A representative from JStar, the agency managing Song Ga-in's activities, explained to OSEN on the 18th, "Song Ga-in initially intended to operate under Gaindal Entertainment as a solo agency, but she is currently active as an artist under an exclusive contract with us."

They further admitted, "After Gaindal Entertainment was established as a solo agency and JStar began handling the management duties, we failed to recognize the necessity of this specific registration. It is true that registration for a cultural arts planning business must be completed concurrently with business registration, and we made an error."

Song Ga-in's side stated, "We are planning to submit the registration application for Gaindal Entertainment within today."

Song Ga-in established Gaindal Entertainment in September of last year, with her older brother listed as an internal director. However, it was confirmed that Gaindal Entertainment had not been registered as a cultural arts planning business. According to the Cultural Arts Industry Development Act, entertainers operating as sole proprietorships with more than one employee must register as a cultural arts planning business; failure to do so can result in imprisonment of up to two years or a fine of up to 20 million won.

Amid recent news of other stars like Ok Ju-hyun and Sung Si-kyung also operating agencies without this registration, Song Ga-in's team is swiftly addressing the oversight.

Song Ga-in is a renowned trot singer who has captivated audiences with her powerful vocals and commanding stage presence. Her rise to fame began after her appearance on the popular audition program 'Miss Trot,' solidifying her status as a leading figure in the trot music scene. Her music consistently tops the charts, demonstrating her immense popularity and influence in the industry.
