WOODZ Ignites Comeback with Digital Single 'I'll Never Love Again', Revealing Tracklist and Concept Photos
Singer WOODZ (Cho Seung-youn) has officially signaled his return post-military discharge with the release of his tracklist and concept photos for his upcoming digital single, 'I'll Never Love Again'.
His agency, EDAM Entertainment, unveiled the tracklist video for 'I'll Never Love Again' via WOODZ's official social media channels on the evening of September 18th. This was followed by the release of the first concept photo at midnight on September 19th.
The digital single, slated for release on September 24th at 6 PM, will feature a total of two tracks. These include 'Smashing Concrete,' which was previously previewed through a visualizer video in July, and the title track, 'I'll Never Love Again.'
The tracklist video creates a tense atmosphere, showcasing a cluttered desk and typewriter in a dark room. The phrase 'Smashing Concrete' appears on the typewriter, drawing attention. Subsequently, a letter, beginning with 'My dearest,' seems to be written, only to be engulfed in flames. The scattered paper fragments then form the words 'I'll Never Love Again,' leaving a lasting impression.
The concept photos, presented in a polaroid format, exude a sophisticated mood. They incorporate collage elements, linking them to WOODZ's appearance in 'Smashing Concrete' for a unique appeal. In the released photos, WOODZ gazes intently at the camera in a white shirt and black tie, evoking a profound sense of emotion. A striking cut shows him standing before intense flames, heightening the intrigue surrounding the narrative of this digital single.
'I'll Never Love Again' marks WOODZ's first release in approximately two years since 'AMNESIA' in December 2023. It is anticipated to encompass a more mature musical style, visuals, and a distinctive worldview. Notably, WOODZ has personally participated in the lyricism and composition for this single, raising expectations for the musical landscape he will present.
WOODZ had previously generated buzz by releasing a surprise comeback teaser on September 16th. While the initial teasing content hinted at a beautiful love story with an exciting atmosphere, the unexpected reveal of the single and title track names as 'I'll Never Love Again' has amplified public curiosity.
WOODZ's digital single 'I'll Never Love Again' will be available on various online music platforms starting September 24th at 6 PM.
