A single father sought urgent help on Channel A's 'My Golden Child' after his middle school son began expressing extreme thoughts.

The episode aired on the 19th featured the story of a 14-year-old boy who was making disturbing comments, leading his father to question if it might be adolescent depression.

The father, who has been raising his three children alone for about five years, explained his distress. "My son said he didn't want to live and wanted to die a few days ago, which made me realize the seriousness of the situation and apply for help," he shared.

Footage revealed the son had become reclusive, staying in his room and refusing meals. He even sent his father text messages saying, "Please don't look for me," and "It's better to run away than be stressed."

The situation escalated when the son directly told his father, "I really want to die. I don't want to live."

The father expressed his pain, stating, "He told me he often thought dying was better. It hurts so much to see him like that." He noted the problem intensified when his son entered middle school and pleaded for professional intervention, as the severity surpassed typical adolescent behavior.
