The Seasons - 10CM's 'Ssdam Ssdam' Features a Star-Studded Lineup of Versatile Artists

KBS 2TV's music talk show 'The Seasons - 10CM's Ssdam Ssdam' delivered a colorful stage with a lineup of versatile artists. The broadcast on the 19th featured Yuqi of (G)I-DLE, Wooyoung of 2PM, Sungkyu of INFINITE, Minseok of MELOMANCE, and Jeong Sewoon, who filled Friday night with diverse stages and genres.

Yuqi, a 'trustworthy singer-songwriter idol,' presented a dramatic performance of 'Always Remember Us This Way.' 10CM praised her, saying, "It seems like the artist Yuqi will be divided into before and after 'The Seasons'." Yuqi responded with confidence, stating, "Even though I came alone instead of with the members, 'The Seasons' feels like home," receiving cheers from the audience.

Yuqi, now in her 8th year since debut, made a comeback with a new album full of hip-hop vibes. 10CM playfully suggested rap names like 'Mad Woogi,' 'MC Woossi,' and 'Beijing Gang-ul-ji' (short for Beijing Puppy), with Yuqi choosing 'Beijing Gang-ul-ji.' She then delivered an old-school hip-hop performance of her title track 'M.O.' She also showcased her versatility by performing a duet with 10CM on 'Love is Six Strings' while playing the guitar.

Wooyoung of 2PM, appearing on 'The Seasons' for the first time, expressed his excitement and vowed to give his all. He displayed his innate dancing talent with 'Simple Dance' and even taught 10CM the point choreography, creating great chemistry. At 10CM's request, he also brought back memories with a duet of the classic 'Dream High,' met with enthusiastic cheers and sing-alongs from the audience.

Sungkyu Kim of INFINITE and Minseok Kim of MELOMANCE, who teamed up for the musical 'Death Note,' presented a highly polished performance of 'Into the Villain's Mind,' almost like a scene from the musical itself. 10CM was impressed, stating, "I was going to tease Minseok, seeing him on stage as an actor for the first time, but I was overwhelmed by his gaze and expressiveness." Minseok humorously replied, "If you teased me, I was going to write it in the Death Note," pulling out a prop Death Note, which caused laughter.

Sungkyu and Minseok taught 10CM the heavy breathing techniques of musical theater, but 10CM's lighthearted rendition led to more laughter. As 'hit song rich' artists, they also performed their representative songs. Minseok sang 'Is It Love' and 'Gift' accompanied by Jeong Dong-hwan's piano, showcasing MELOMANCE's signature emotional touch. Sungkyu reinterpreted INFINITE's 'Be Mine' with Minseok and 10CM, and also performed hits like 'Man In Love' and 'The Chaser,' receiving a fervent response.

Jeong Sewoon's 'Say It To Me Now' was a perfect fit for the autumn night, touching the listeners' hearts. Being from the same agency as 10CM, Jeong Sewoon declared his intention to become close, saying, "I came today determined to call you 'hyung-nim' (older brother figure)." He reinterpreted aespa's 'Rich Man' to break down 10CM's walls, and 10CM marveled at Jeong Sewoon's creative guitar techniques, leading to them becoming closer and calling each other 'hyung-nim' on the spot.

Jeong Sewoon shared his musical reflections, stating, "Until now, I've tried to fill things up, but from now on, I think I need to let go." In response, 10CM gifted him a guitar, saying, "I'm proud and want to support you for already finding so many clear answers and using them as energy to work." Jeong Sewoon was deeply moved, asking, "Can I really accept this?" He concluded his performance with 'Colors,' leaving a deep impression.

Yuqi, a member of the globally popular group (G)I-DLE, debuted in 2018 and has since built a strong international fanbase with her unique vocals and captivating performances. Her recent solo album 'Spooky' showcased her expanded musical spectrum with a powerful hip-hop influence. Yuqi is also recognized for her versatility and wit on various variety shows, establishing herself as an all-around entertainer.
