Actor Lee Sung-min has declared that actress Yeom Hye-ran will deliver a new defining role in the upcoming film 'Unavoidable' (literal translation).

In a YouTube channel 'DdeunDdeun' episode released on the 20th, the stars of the movie 'Unavoidable', Lee Byung-hun, Lee Sung-min, and Yeom Hye-ran, shared their thoughts and stories.

Host Yoo Jae-suk brought up Yeom Hye-ran's previous popular drama, stating, "We can't talk about her without mentioning 'The Glory'", to which Ji Suk-jin added, "It's impossible not to. It was so impactful."

Yoo Jae-suk expressed his admiration, saying, "Whenever Yeom Hye-ran appears...", and Ji Suk-jin elaborated, "My wife cried so much watching it."

Reacting to this, Lee Sung-min confidently asserted, "This movie ('Unavoidable') will overshadow that," with Lee Byung-hun concurring, "Thanks to Yeom Hye-ran's incredible acting."

When Ji Suk-jin expressed curiosity, asking "It will overshadow that? Now I'm really looking forward to it," Lee Sung-min echoed his sentiment.

Yeom Hye-ran recounted her initial reaction to receiving the script from director Park Chan-wook. "When director Park Chan-wook offers you a script, it's such an honor. You'd say 'yes' without even reading it. But I did read it, and I thought, 'Why me for this role?'" she confessed candidly.

She continued, "I even told my agency, 'How can I possibly play this role?' So, for the first time, I thought, and this might sound arrogant, 'Even if it's not this time, we can work together again later.'" This statement drew laughter from the set.

"As an actor, if you miss out on a role, it might be your last chance. I'd rather meet opportunities where I can do better. This character was unlike anything I'd ever portrayed before," Yeom Hye-ran explained. "I even asked the director, 'Honestly, about 50 other actors come to mind who could play this role brilliantly, so why did you choose me?'"

Lee Sung-min then shared director Park Chan-wook's response, relaying, "He apparently said, 'That would be boring.'" Lee Sung-min applauded, exclaiming, "Indeed, it was an excellent choice."
