Byul Sarang Marries 20-Year First Love; Jo Hye-ryun & Navi Show Support at Wedding

Singer Byul Sarang is tying the knot with her first love, whom she has known for 20 years. The wedding ceremony will take place this afternoon (20th) at a venue in Guro-gu, Seoul, with her non-celebrity fiancé.

Comedian Jo Hye-ryun will be singing a congratulatory song, and singer Navi will host the ceremony, showcasing their strong friendship. Jo Hye-ryun is expected to perform her hit songs like 'Ana Kana' and 'Banana Nala'. She will attend with her husband, composer and CEO Ko Yo-seop, who personally penned and composed Byul Sarang's hit track 'Gawi-Bawi-Bo'.

Byul Sarang and her fiancé first met in middle school and reconnected after two decades. They are now embarking on their married life after a five-year courtship. "He was my first love from the first year of middle school," Byul Sarang shared. "When we coincidentally met again, it felt like destiny. I decided to marry him because I felt I'd regret it if I let him go. Although this is a busy period for my career, I also want to build a family and have beautiful children."

Just three days before the wedding, Byul Sarang expressed her excitement on social media, writing, "Time has flown by so quickly. In three days, we will take our first steps as a married couple. Having walked the same path for a long time and watched over each other, we will now become a reliable source of strength and lifelong partners. With a fluttering heart, I await that day, and we will make each other's lives shine brighter."

Byul Sarang, who debuted in 2017 with the single 'Tear Flower', gained recognition after reaching the TOP 7 on TV Chosun's 'Miss Trot 2'. She has been actively promoting her career through shows like 'Hyun-yeok Ga-wang' and 'Han-Il Ga-wang-jeon'.
