
Song Seung-heon Cancels Interviews Following Mother's Passing
Actor Song Seung-heon has suffered a sudden bereavement with the passing of his mother. Consequently, scheduled interview appointments have been cancelled.
His agency, King Kong by Starship, announced on the 21st, "The interview for the Genie TV original drama 'Wonderful My Star,' which was slated for the 25th, has been unavoidably cancelled. We ask for your generous understanding."
The deceased, Mrs. Moon Myung-ok, passed away at the age of 77. The funeral hall has been set up at room 17 of the Asan Medical Center Funeral Hall in Seoul. Mourning began at noon on the 21st, and the funeral procession will be held on the 23rd at 9:30 AM. The interment will take place first at Seoul Memorial Park, followed by Bukhangang Park.
Song Seung-heon, the youngest of three siblings, is preparing to receive mourners alongside his elder brother and sister amidst their grief. The agency stated that all funeral procedures will be conducted privately.
In the past, Song Seung-heon shared a photo of his mother in her youth on his social media, expressing his deep affection: "My beloved father and mother! I am happy to be your son. Please stay healthy and together with me for a long, long time. I love you." He also appeared on MBC's 'Radio Star' last year and mentioned the attention his father's photos received, adding, "In my opinion, my mother is even more beautiful," highlighting his special affection for her.
Song Seung-heon debuted in the 1995 sitcom 'Three Guys and Three Girls' and gained immense popularity. Beyond his acting career, he has also ventured into business, showcasing his diverse talents. Recently, he delivered memorable performances in dramas like 'The Shadow Beauty' and 'Longing for You'.
