BTS Jungkook Makes History on Spotify's 'Global Top Artist' Chart for 800 Days

Jungkook, a member of the global sensation BTS, has achieved remarkable milestones on the world's largest music streaming platform, Spotify.

He has now been listed on Spotify's 'Global Top Artist' chart for a cumulative 800 days, marking the fifth-longest duration for any K-pop group or solo artist in history.

Furthermore, his personal Spotify account has surpassed 9.6 billion cumulative streams, achieving this feat in the shortest time for an Asian artist and as the first K-pop solo artist to do so.

Jungkook also recorded over 40 million monthly listeners, the highest for a K-pop solo artist, and consistently maintains a strong listener base of 16.5 to 17 million, demonstrating his enduring popularity.

His debut solo single 'Seven' has charted for an unprecedented 114 consecutive weeks on Spotify's 'Weekly Top Song Global' chart, setting a new record as the first and longest-charting Asian solo artist. His solo album 'GOLDEN' also achieved a record, staying on the 'Weekly Top Album Global' chart for 98 weeks, the longest for any Asian solo album, ensuring its long-term success.

Jungkook has produced four songs with over 1 billion streams on Spotify, a first and most for an Asian solo artist. He also uniquely holds 19 songs with over 100 million streams, another K-pop solo first.

Jungkook captivated the world with his performance of the official FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 soundtrack 'Dreamers' at the opening ceremony. He is affectionately known as the 'Golden Maknae' for his exceptional vocals and stage presence, earning immense love from fans globally.
