K-pop group THE KINGDOM is set to make their comeback with a unique fusion of Miryang Arirang and K-pop through their new track 'HWAEOLGAK'.

The group will release their special album 'The KingDom: the flower of the moon' on the 23rd at 6 PM KST across various online music platforms. This album is prepared as a special gift for their dedicated fandom, 'KINGMAKER', who have long supported them.

Unfortunately, leader Dann enlisted earlier than anticipated during the album's preparation, meaning THE KINGDOM will promote this album as a five-member unit. The special album features a total of four tracks, including the title song 'HWAEOLGAK', along with 'Festival', 'Forget', and an instrumental version of 'HWAEOLGAK'.

The title track 'HWAEOLGAK' masterfully combines the melodic essence of Miryang Arirang, a traditional Korean folk song, with the energetic pulse of K-pop. The song boasts a grand scale, with collaborations between traditional Korean instruments like the gayageum, daegeum, gwaenggwari, and haegeum, alongside an orchestra, all elevated by THE KINGDOM's powerful vocals, creating an intense and captivating charm.

'Festival' is an upbeat, funky driving song with a cheerful rhythm and lyrics, while 'Forget', personally penned by the members, is a heartfelt dedication to their fans. Expectations are high for THE KINGDOM's new release, which showcases not only Korean musicality and concepts but also a special song for their beloved fanbase.

Debuting in 2021, THE KINGDOM is a six-member boy group known for their unique concept centered around 'kingdoms', with each member embodying a king. Their music consistently strives for a harmonious blend of Eastern mystique and contemporary K-pop sounds, carving out a distinct musical identity. This special album promises to showcase an even broader musical spectrum from the group.
