Singer WOODZ has showcased his signature modern and cynical charm through the October cover of fashion magazine ELLE MAN.

Describing himself as a "blank canvas" he wants to express in various ways, WOODZ exuded a strong yet soft appeal throughout the photoshoot.

In a subsequent interview, WOODZ reflected on the unexpected resurgence of his song 'Drowning' during his military service. He shared, "My superiors, the military band, and all my friends in the barracks congratulated me." He humorously added, "I really felt the reality when people asked for my autograph at the PX."

He also reminisced about his time in the military with NCT's Jaehyun, stating, "We became close as we shared a room. We'd joke around with our fellow soldiers, like asking each other on TV, 'Who is that person? I don't know them,' or 'Is that your younger sibling?'"

Regarding his song 'Smashing Concrete,' released as a visualizer during his service, WOODZ confessed, "I made that song during my military leave. I reveled in the feeling of starting anew. My hesitations about revealing myself significantly diminished during the visualizer shoot. I felt more at ease and achieved satisfying results with a 'Who cares if they mock me?' attitude."

When asked about the mindset he strives to maintain in his music, he emphasized 'honesty,' explaining, "I believe that what might be an ordinary daily life for me could be a very special experience for someone else. Therefore, an honest attitude is crucial."

Looking ahead to his ambitious next album, WOODZ revealed, "I've learned that approaching things with humble confidence is more impressive than shrinking back." He added, "I'm working hard with 'coolness' as the keyword."

WOODZ is currently appearing on MBC's variety show 'How Do You Play?' participating in the '80's Seoul Music Festival'.

WOODZ debuted in 2014 with the group UNIQ and later established his unique musical identity as a solo artist. His music is praised for its experimental yet accessible appeal, earning him a dedicated fanbase. He is currently focused on preparing his upcoming album, promising fans a new and exciting musical journey.
