IVE's Jang Won-young and Actor Lee Jun-young to Host 'Music Bank Global Festival IN JAPAN'
K-pop girl group IVE member Jang Won-young will once again be part of KBS's year-end programming. This time, she will co-host the 'Music Bank Global Festival IN JAPAN' with popular actor Lee Jun-young.
The news of Jang Won-young and Lee Jun-young taking on MC duties for KBS 2TV's 'Music Bank Global Festival IN JAPAN' was exclusively reported by OSEN on the 23rd. The duo is set to lead the festival, which will take place at the Tokyo National Stadium on December 13th and 14th.
'Music Bank Global Festival IN JAPAN' is a large-scale event introduced by KBS during the year-end awards season, expanding the reach of the music show 'Music Bank' beyond Korea to Japan, historically the largest market for K-pop.
Jang Won-young has previous experience hosting year-end shows with KBS, having served as an MC for 'Music Bank' in 2021 and subsequently for the 'KBS Song Festival' every year since. Her participation in 'Music Bank Global Festival IN JAPAN' marks another significant hosting role for her.
Joining Jang Won-young as a co-host is actor Lee Jun-young. Lee Jun-young, who debuted as a member of the boy group U-KISS, transitioned to acting and has since made a strong impression in various productions, including Netflix series like 'D.P.', 'The Atypical Family' (incorrect translation of '폭싹 속았수다' in context, which is 'Jeong Nyeon' or 'When My Love Blooms'), and 'Weak Hero Class 1'.
