KATSEYE's 'Gabriela' Climbs to New Peak at No. 45 on Billboard Hot 100
Global girl group KATSEYE is rewriting the charts with an impressive upward trajectory.
According to the latest Billboard charts released on September 23rd (local time), KATSEYE's track 'Gabriela' from their second EP ‘BEAUTIFUL CHAOS’ has secured the 45th position on the main singles chart, the Billboard Hot 100. This marks a significant 12-spot jump from the previous week and sets a new personal best for the group on this chart.
Since its initial entry at No. 94 on July 5th, 'Gabriela' has consistently climbed, spending six consecutive weeks on an upward trend. Its global appeal is further evident on the Billboard Global 200, where it rose to 16th place, and the Global Excl. U.S. chart at 14th, both new career highs.
Another track, 'Gnarly,' has re-entered the Hot 100 at No. 97 and impressively maintained a presence on the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts for 20 consecutive weeks. This resurgence is notable, especially considering the song was released as a digital single nearly five months ago.
Fueled by the success of these singles, the EP ‘BEAUTIFUL CHAOS’ continues its strong performance, charting for 12 weeks on the Billboard 200 at No. 30. It also achieved positions of 14th on the Top Album Sales chart and 13th on the Top Current Album Sales chart, demonstrating sustained album power.
The surge in popularity appears to have been ignited by KATSEYE's captivating performance at Lollapalooza Chicago. Videos of the six members commanding the stage went viral on social media, sparking the current chart resurgence. Their record-breaking success extends beyond the US Billboard charts, with notable achievements on the UK Official Singles Chart and Spotify's Weekly Top Songs Global.
KATSEYE is set to embark on their first North American headlining tour, with 16 shows across 13 cities starting in November, and is scheduled to perform at the prestigious Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April of next year.
KATSEYE is a global girl group formed through a collaboration between HYBE and Geffen Records. The group was selected through the global audition project 'The Debut: Dream Academy,' which attracted over 120,000 applicants worldwide. They debuted in the US last year, embodying HYBE's vision for globalizing the K-pop system.
