Volleyball Legend Kim Yeon-koung Embarks on New Journey as 'Rookie Director' in MBC Variety Show

At the production presentation for MBC's new variety show, ‘Rookie Director Kim Yeon-koung,’ held on September 24th at the Golden Mouse Hall in MBC's new building in Mapo-gu, Seoul, Kim Yeon-koung shared her excitement about her post-retirement endeavors.

The show will chronicle Kim Yeon-koung's ambitious project of establishing her own volleyball club from scratch. Fans are eagerly anticipating seeing a different side of the celebrated athlete as she navigates the challenges of building a new team.

The event was also attended by notable figures including Seungkwan of the group SEVENTEEN and volleyball player Pyo Seung-ju. Directed by Kwon Rak-hee, the program promises a unique look into the world of sports management and is slated for release in 2025.
