Comedian Lee Jin-ho Caught Driving Under Influence Amidst Ongoing Repentance

Comedian Lee Jin-ho, who is currently reflecting on his past wrongdoings, has reportedly been caught driving under the influence of alcohol.

According to reports on the 24th, Lee Jin-ho was apprehended by the police for driving while intoxicated in the early hours of the morning.

The Yangpyeong Police Station in Gyeonggi Province is investigating Lee for allegedly driving approximately 100km from Incheon to Yangpyeong while drunk. The arrest was made after police received a report of Lee driving under the influence and subsequently tracked him down.

Initial investigations indicate that Lee's blood alcohol content level was above the legal limit for license revocation. Blood samples were taken for precise measurement, and further investigation will proceed once the results are available. Lee has been allowed to return home pending the investigation.

Lee Jin-ho had previously suspended his activities and was in a period of self-reflection after being embroiled in an illegal gambling scandal last year. At that time, it was revealed that he had borrowed a substantial amount, estimated at 2.3 billion Korean Won, from fellow celebrities and loan sharks, causing significant shock. Among the celebrities reportedly involved were BTS member Jimin, comedian Lee Soo-geun, and singer Ha Sung-woon.

Lee Jin-ho debuted as a comedian through SBS in 2005. He gained popularity for his distinctive acting style and witty humor. However, recent scandals involving illegal gambling and financial issues have led to widespread public disappointment.
