Jo Hye-ryun Expresses Longing for Park Mi-sun Undergoing Cancer Treatment

Comedienne Jo Hye-ryun has shared her feelings of missing her colleague Park Mi-sun, who has temporarily halted her activities due to cancer treatment.

In a video uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Rolling Thunder' on the 23rd, Jo Hye-ryun, along with close friends Lee Kyung-sil and Jo Hye-ryun, were discussing 'Traits of People You Want to Cut Ties With.' During the conversation, Jo Hye-ryun brought up past anecdotes involving Park Mi-sun.

Jo Hye-ryun began by saying, "There are people in life, and I have cut ties with some. I have too. But that's also how we've come together again, hasn't it?" sparking curiosity. She further added, "Because I cut ties, I met new people," alluding to her divorce, which made Lee Kyung-sil burst into laughter.

During a segment for honest confessions, Jo Hye-ryun pointed to Shin Yeo-seong's writer, Ji Seung-a, recalling, "She was a writer for 'Sebakwi.' She contacted me saying, 'Unnie, I'm trying to create a program, and we're making it with Lee Kyung-sil unnie.'"

She continued, "At that time, my feelings weren't settled. Because if Park Mi-sun unnie were there, we had planned something as a trio. So, my feelings weren't settled," revealing the past plans with Park Mi-sun. When Lee Kyung-sil asked, "You were supposed to do it somewhere else (as a trio)?" Jo Hye-ryun expressed her displeasure, stating, "Yes. But she persistently suggested it."

However, Jo Hye-ryun then revealed a surprising sentiment, saying, "So... I think it was really good that we ended up doing 'Shin Yeo-seong.'" This added to the humor. Lee Sun-min expressed her wish, "Personally, I hope soon..." for Park Mi-sun's return, and Jo Hye-ryun also suggested, "It would be nice if it were the three of us with Mi-sun unnie, and Sun-min too."

Recalling memories with Park Mi-sun, Jo Hye-ryun shared, "When Mi-sun unnie and we first went out as a trio, Lee Sun-min's role was played by Yoo Jae-suk. It was on 'How Do You Play?' and it was so much fun without any script." When Lee Sun-min expressed her ambition, "Comparing senior Yoo Jae-suk and me," Jo Hye-ryun playfully retorted, "You're like Jo Se-ho. How can you compare yourself to Yoo Jae-suk?" drawing laughter.

Meanwhile, Park Mi-sun has suspended her activities due to health issues and is focusing on her recovery. A recent media report suggested Park Mi-sun was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer and is undergoing treatment, but her agency stated cautiously, "The exact diagnosis is private medical information, but it is true that she is resting for health reasons."

In a 'Shin Yeo-seong' video released on the 9th, Jo Hye-ryun also mentioned her phone call with Park Mi-sun, saying, "Actually, we originally intended for 'Shin Yeo-seong' to be done by the three of us, including Lee Kyung-sil unnie," expressing her affection for Park Mi-sun.

Jo Hye-ryun debuted as a KBS special recruit comedian in 1995 and has since gained popularity through various entertainment programs. She announced her divorce from her husband in October 2018 and has continued her broadcasting activities.
