
Kim Yeon-koung Defends Her 'Shik-ppang' Nickname at Variety Show Press Conference
Volleyball legend Kim Yeon-koung expressed her frustration over the persistent association with the term 'shik-ppang' (bread) during the press conference for her new MBC variety show, 'Rookie Director Kim Yeon-koung'.
At the event held on the 24th, when a reporter questioned the potential broadcast censorship issues arising from her strong language, Kim Yeon-koung appeared bewildered. She stated, "I don't understand why the 'shik-ppang' talk keeps coming up," voicing her sense of unfairness.
While her team manager, Seung-gwan, attempted to clarify, he humorously revealed, "The director is whispering 'another shik-ppang, another shik-ppang' next to me," turning the event into laughter. This further amused Kim Yeon-koung.
Director Kwon Rak-hee assured that there were no filming incidents that would cause broadcast censorship problems.
