(G)I-DLE's Yuqi Achieves Triple Crown with 'M.O.', Topping Music Shows After Chart Success

Yuqi, a member of the popular K-pop group (G)I-DLE, has achieved a remarkable triple crown with her debut single 'Motivation'. Following her success on music and album charts, she has now claimed the top spot on music broadcast shows.

On the MBC every1 program 'Show! Champion' aired on September 24th, Yuqi's title track ‘M.O.’ secured the first-place trophy. Even after concluding her music show promotions, she celebrated this victory with her fans.

Expressing her gratitude through a video message, Yuqi stated, “This award is something I couldn't have received without your support. Thank you so much. I’m happy and grateful to have won first place, even with only a week of promotions. I will become an even better artist, Yuqi, with this award as a stepping stone.”

Prior to her music show success, Yuqi achieved significant milestones on music charts. Her title track ‘M.O.’ soared to number one on Tencent Music's Korean chart and also topped the real-time chart of the domestic music site Bugs. Furthermore, the single 'Motivation', featuring ‘M.O.’, hit number one on the daily digital album bestseller charts of QQ Music and KuGou Music, highlighting her international appeal.

The album 'Motivation' also saw immense success in physical sales, surpassing 410,000 copies in its first week (initial sales). This propelled it to the top of the Hanteo Chart's album chart for the third week of September. Yuqi's solo debut has thus been a resounding success, with her title track dominating music charts, album sales, and music programs.

Released on September 16th, Yuqi's first single 'Motivation' includes the title track ‘M.O.’, the B-side ‘Pain (아프다)’, and its Chinese version ‘还痛吗 (Hái Tòng Ma)’. Yuqi personally participated in writing and composing all the tracks, showcasing her diverse musical spectrum and songwriting talent.

Currently, Yuqi is connecting with her global fanbase through a pop-up event celebrating her debut single, titled ‘YUQI 1st Single [Motivation] POP-UP’.
