V (Kim Tae-hyung, 29) of global sensation BTS has officially joined the exclusive enclave of Cheongdam-dong, purchasing a luxurious penthouse at 'The PENTHOUSE Cheongdam (PH129)' for a staggering 14.2 billion Korean won (approximately $10.7 million USD).

According to real estate records, V finalized the acquisition of the expansive 273.96㎡ (approx. 2,949 sq ft) unit on October 17th, following a contract signed in May. Notably, the transaction appears to have been an all-cash deal, with no mortgage registered, indicating significant financial liquidity.

'The PENTHOUSE Cheongdam' is a prestigious residential complex featuring 29 duplex units across 20 floors. The building is known to be home to other prominent figures, including celebrity couple Jang Dong-gun and Ko So-young, as well as golf champion Inbee Park and renowned instructor Woo-jin Hyun.

This latest property acquisition by V further highlights the impressive real estate portfolio held by BTS members. Jin previously purchased a unit at Hannam The Hill for 17.5 billion won, J-Hope acquired a penthouse at APEL DAO HAN in the late 2022, and RM and Jimin bought units at Nine One Hannam in 2021. Jungkook is reportedly residing in a custom-built single-family home in Yongsan-gu, while Suga lives in Riverhill Hannam. The clustering of these high-value properties in upscale areas of Gangnam and Yongsan has fueled discussions about a 'BTS Residential Belt'.
