Actress Ko Hyun-jung is set to leave her confined residence once again in the SBS Friday-Saturday drama ‘The Scythian Bride: The Killer’s Outing.’ This high-density crime thriller follows the joint investigation between a notorious serial killer mother, Jeong Yi-shin (played by Ko Hyun-jung), and her detective son, Cha Su-yeol (Jang Dong-yoon), who has harbored lifelong hatred for her. The series has garnered significant praise for Ko Hyun-jung's groundbreaking transformation and overwhelming acting prowess.

Jeong Yi-shin's true intentions remain a mystery; it's unclear whether she aims to help or manipulate her son, whom she reunited with after 23 years. However, a rare moment of vulnerability surfaced when another criminal, Seo Gu-wan (Lee Tae-goo), uttered the names of Cha Su-yeol and his wife, Lee Jung-yeon (Kim Bo-ra). Previously, when Jeong Yi-shin first escaped her residence, Seo Gu-wan was involved in a suspicious hit-and-run accident that led to his death.

In a preview released on September 25th, featuring a scene from the upcoming 7th episode, producers of ‘The Scythian Bride: The Killer’s Outing’ amplify viewer anxiety by showing Jeong Yi-shin venturing outside her confined home. The released stills depict Jeong Yi-shin leaving the garden, bypassing the security chief Kim Woo-tae (Gil Eun-seong), who was monitoring her every move. A subsequent moment shows her approaching Kim Woo-tae and speaking to him, creating a stark contrast between her meaningful gaze and his seemingly flustered expression. What Jeong Yi-shin said to Kim Woo-tae as she left remains a key question.

Furthermore, police officer Choi Joong-ho (Jo Sung-ha) is seen observing Jeong Yi-shin's departure with a serious and sharp gaze, hinting that he might accompany her. With the profile of the culprit behind the copycat murders related to 'The Scythian Bride' emerging, the reasons behind Jeong Yi-shin's unhindered exit and her destination with Choi Joong-ho are shrouded in mystery.

The production team commented, "In tomorrow's (26th) 7th episode, Jeong Yi-shin will step outside her residence. This will be an extremely dangerous yet desperate choice, potentially costing her life. Despite this, Jeong Yi-shin will display a remarkably calm and chilling demeanor." They added, "Actress Ko Hyun-jung's overwhelming expressiveness and powerful screen presence will shine."

Given that a death occurred during Jeong Yi-shin's previous escape, her departure again from her confined residence understandably heightens viewer apprehension. ‘The Scythian Bride: The Killer’s Outing’ Episode 7, promising unpredictable twists, will air on September 26th at 9:50 PM KST.
