Trot singer Song Ga-in will be showcasing her daily life in her hometown of Jindo, a place that has embraced her as a local celebrity, on KBS2's entertainment show 'New Release Pyeonstorang' (hereafter 'Pyeonstorang').

The episode, airing on the 26th, is the second part of the 'Mom's Hand Special' in celebration of the Chuseok holiday, featuring Song Ga-in. In a VCR segment, Song Ga-in travels for six hours to reach Jindo, where her parents reside. Jindo has already become so synonymous with her that there's a 'Song Ga-in Road' and a 'Song Ga-in Park.' The house where her parents live, affectionately known as the 'Song Ga-in Birthplace,' was bustling with tourists even on the day of filming. Song Ga-in expressed bashful amusement, stating, "I'm alive, and they've already made my birthplace into a landmark."

Her parents prepared a lavish spread of Song Ga-in's favorite dishes to welcome their daughter, who hadn't visited in a while. The cooking skills of her parents, who passed down the 'Jindo flavor' to Song Ga-in, were truly impressive. Her mother prepared a refreshing raw seafood soup (mulhoe) brimming with fresh abalone, while her father skillfully filleted a 3.5kg wild flatfish using only a kitchen knife, astonishing even Chef Lee Yeon-bok.

Moreover, the perfect culinary chemistry and witty banter between Song Ga-in's parents stole the show. Their playful bickering while cooking, followed by sweet interactions, filled the 'Pyeonstorang' studio with laughter. Their affectionate moments brought smiles to Song Ga-in's face.

Her father, in particular, showed his romantic side by frequently offering delicious bites to his wife and affectionately nagging her to eat well. He also insisted on handling the dangerous knife work himself, demonstrating his 'romantic guy' persona. When the 'Pyeonstorang' cast members exclaimed about his sweetness, Song Ga-in playfully revealed, "But he's only been like this for a short while," adding to the cheerful atmosphere.

Song Ga-in debuted in 2012 with the single 'Dansimga' but initially did not gain significant recognition. Her appearance on TV Chosun's 'Miss Trot' in 2019 catapulted her to stardom overnight. Known as the 'Trot Empress' for her unique emotional vocals and outstanding singing ability, she is actively appearing on various TV shows and performing at events.
