Actor Im Si-wan has addressed the confusion surrounding the Netflix film 'The Mantis' and the similarly titled SBS drama.

At a press conference for the film held on the 25th, Im Si-wan stated, "Many people around me asked why I wasn't appearing in the drama 'The Mantis.' While I am in the movie, senior actress Go Hyun-jung is also not appearing in the drama," drawing laughter from the audience.

He further elaborated on the differences between the two productions. "Senior Go Hyun-jung's 'The Mantis' is wicked and evil. However, Han-ul, the character I play in the film 'The Mantis,' is human and good. I believe this 'Mantis' has the upper hand in terms of goodness," he explained.

Im Si-wan also garnered attention for his distinctive dress code at the event. "I chose this outfit because I thought it resembled the theme of 'The Mantis.' I had no intention of standing out," he clarified, promising, "Next time, I will faithfully adhere to the dress code."

Fellow cast members Jo Woo-jin and Park Gyu-young playfully commented on Im Si-wan's fashion sense, to which Im Si-wan replied that he would discuss outfits thoroughly in the future.

Im Si-wan, originally a member of the K-pop group ZE:A, has successfully transitioned into acting and is recognized for his compelling performances in various acclaimed projects. He is particularly noted for his nuanced portrayal of complex characters, effectively conveying subtle emotional depths. Beyond his acting career, he has also been showcasing his versatile talents through appearances on popular variety shows.
