Actor Jin Tae-hyun Addresses 'Shirtless Running' Controversy, Calls for Legal Clarity
Actor Jin Tae-hyun has publicly addressed the recent controversy surrounding his shirtless jogging habits.
In a YouTube video released on the 25th, which he co-hosts with his wife Park Si-eun, Jin Tae-hyun acknowledged the divided opinions on the matter. He stated, "I understand both perspectives: those who think 'it's fine, what's the big deal?' and those who feel 'it's uncomfortable, is it necessary to take your shirt off?"
He then shared a personal anecdote where he was asked to put on a shirt while running shirtless at an outdoor track. This incident highlighted how his actions could cause discomfort to others. "They left after saying they didn't like me running without a shirt," he recalled.
His wife, Park Si-eun, also weighed in, expressing a desire for legal regulations. Jin Tae-hyun echoed this sentiment, urging lawmakers to establish clear rules. "We need clarity through legislation. Currently, if it's not illegal, there's no issue, but this leads to conflict," he explained.
Jin Tae-hyun made his acting debut in the 2001 MBC drama 'Lovers'. He has since appeared in numerous television dramas and films, showcasing his versatility as an actor. He married fellow actress Park Si-eun in 2015, and they have a daughter together.
