As One to Release Final Single Featuring Late Member Lee Min's Voice
The beloved female R&B duo As One is set to release their final single, a poignant farewell that will forever resonate with fans.
Their agency, Brand New Music, unveiled the album artwork on social media, announcing that the single, titled 'Just Because I Love You,' will be released on September 30th.
This upcoming track holds a special significance as it features the voice of the late member, Lee Min, who tragically passed away in August. Her vocals are expected to stir deep emotions among their devoted fanbase.
The cover art, illustrated by singer Lisa, depicts a purple butterfly accompanied by the message, "Wherever you are, I hope you are happy." This imagery is a touching tribute to a significant anecdote involving a purple butterfly witnessed by colleagues during Lee Min's funeral procession, adding another layer of emotional depth.
Crystal, the remaining member of As One, expressed her gratitude to their fans, stating, "Thanks to you, we were able to walk the journey of our dreams under the name As One. We will always cherish the fact that we were one through love, support, and music."
Brand New Music also announced that a portion of the proceeds from this single will be donated to an animal rights organization that the late Lee Min actively supported during her lifetime. The agency hopes that "many people will remember and cherish As One through their music for a long time."
As One debuted in 1999 and quickly became known for their soulful R&B sound. The duo's powerful vocals and emotional delivery produced numerous hit songs throughout their career. Lee Min, as the main vocalist, was instrumental in defining the group's unique musical identity.
