YouTuber 'Pilseungju', Who Shared Battle with ALS, Passes Away at 32

YouTuber 'Pilseungju', known for his inspiring journey, has passed away at the age of 32 after a courageous fight against Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

His family announced the sad news through his social media accounts. Pilseungju had been openly sharing his experiences battling ALS on his YouTube channel since 2022, connecting with his community of nearly 70,000 subscribers.

Despite facing progressive paralysis, he maintained a hopeful and positive outlook, radiating strength and encouraging energy to his viewers. His final video, uploaded in May, was titled 'Apple Juice is an Excuse,' and it was reportedly created by a close friend, adding an extra layer of poignancy.

ALS, formally known as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, is a degenerative disease where motor neurons gradually die, leading to the inability to control voluntary muscles. There is currently no known cure for the condition, which also affected former basketball player Park Seung-il.

The memorial service has been arranged at Hanil Hospital Funeral Hall. The funeral procession will take place on the 27th at 8:30 AM, and he will be laid to rest at Jinju Anlak Park.

Pilseungju openly documented his ALS journey on YouTube, offering a beacon of hope to many. He consistently maintained a positive attitude despite his challenging circumstances, fostering a strong connection with his fans. His final video, created by his friend, resonated deeply with his audience.
