Model Lee Hyun-yi Reveals 'Lee Na-young's Beauty Secret' for 20th Anniversary Shoot

Model Lee Hyun-yi is celebrating her 20th anniversary in the industry by preparing for a special photoshoot.

On the March 3rd broadcast of SBS's 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 – You Are My Destiny,' Lee Hyun-yi embarked on a commemorative photoshoot marking two decades since her debut.

"Actress Lee Na-young was in the same salon with me for my very first photoshoot 20 years ago," Lee Hyun-yi shared. "The director told me, 'Since your face doesn't have much fat, eating melon the night before will make it swell beautifully the next day.' Lee Na-young was doing that, so I followed, and I've been doing it for 20 years straight."

Upon hearing this, Kim Sook burst into laughter, saying, "If Lee Na-young did it, I believe it immediately!" Lee Hyun-yi added, "When I'm tired and my eyes look a bit sunken, the photoshoot actually turns out better."

Lee Hyun-yi expressed her aspirations, stating, "Now that I'm in my 40s, I believe I need to have experience and a mature depth. I want to capture a veteran-like photoshoot with the know-how I've gained over 20 years."

She recalled a past anecdote about perfectly pulling off an 'avocado outfit,' laughing, "There's something every model has to go through. That was my first photoshoot."

Fencer Oh Sang-wook, who appeared on the show with her, empathized with Lee Hyun-yi's story and shared his own behind-the-scenes story from his first photoshoot.

He recalled, "I shot it with so much enthusiasm, but the director wasn't satisfied. I got progressively more tired, and my expression stiffened, but that's when they said it was actually good," he said with a laugh.

During the broadcast, Lee Hyun-yi showcased the aura of a top model with 20 years of experience, while Oh Sang-wook revealed his surprising charm as a 'photoshoot gold medalist,' bringing both laughter and admiration to the viewers.
