Hwang Seung-un Breaks Silence on Sister's Marriage to Kwon Yul: 'Nothing for Me to Say'

Actress Hwang Seung-un has addressed the recent news of her younger sister's marriage to actor Kwon Yul.

In a brief statement to OSEN on the 9th, Hwang Seung-un stated, “There is nothing for me to say, and I apologize.” This polite yet firm response is understood as an effort to protect her non-celebrity sister.

Earlier reports revealed that Kwon Yul’s wife is Hwang Seung-un's biological sister. Kwon Yul's agency had previously commented cautiously, stating that his wife is a non-celebrity and details regarding family matters are difficult to confirm. The couple held a private wedding ceremony on May 24th, attended by close family and friends.

Following the wedding announcement, it resurfaced that Hwang Seung-un’s sister had made a surprise appearance alongside Hwang Seung-un on the 2015 TV Chosun show 'Follow Me 7'. During their joint photoshoot, they garnered attention with comments praising their "superior genes" and noting the sister's resemblance to Liu Yifei. The connection is further highlighted by the fact that both Hwang Seung-un and Kwon Yul previously worked together on the 2015 tvN drama 'Let's Eat 2', leading netizens to remark on their "real-life family connection."
