Audiences were left in awe as director Park Chan-wook and actor Lee Byung-hun premiered their latest film, 'No Other Choice,' at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The Gala Presentations screening on September 8 (local time) concluded with a thunderous standing ovation, reaffirming the duo's significant global impact.

Prior to the screening, Park and Lee graced the red carpet, warmly greeting reporters and fans with smiles, posing for selfies, and signing autographs. The evening also marked a historic achievement for Lee Byung-hun, who became the first Korean actor ever to receive TIFF's Special Tribute Award, recognizing outstanding contributions to cinema.

Reflecting on the long-anticipated project, Lee shared, "I first heard about this story from director Park 15 years ago. Now, we are finally able to bring it to the screen. I am certain it's a film audiences should not miss. I hope viewers will be inevitably drawn to it, just as I was."

'No Other Choice' centers on Mansu (Lee Byung-hun), a company man who believed he had found fulfillment until he faces a sudden layoff. The film follows his personal battle for re-employment as he struggles to protect his wife, two children, and the home he worked hard to secure, in Park's latest exploration of human resilience.

Following its debut at the Venice Film Festival, 'No Other Choice' continues to make waves on the international festival circuit. With its compelling narrative, striking visuals, and sharp black comedy, the film is set to offer a bold cinematic experience when it releases in Korea on September 24.

Lee Byung-hun, a veteran actor with a career spanning over three decades, made his debut in 1991. He has achieved widespread recognition both domestically and internationally, starring in Hollywood blockbusters such as the 'G.I. Joe' series, 'Terminator Genisys,' and 'The Magnificent Seven.' His accolades include an acting award at the Cannes Film Festival, solidifying his status as a legend in Korean cinema.
