The Netflix film 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' (abbreviated 'KDH') is on the verge of becoming the first Netflix movie to surpass 300 million views.

According to Netflix's official site Tudum on the 10th, 'KDH' has recorded a cumulative viewership of 291.5 million, bringing the 300 million milestone within reach.

Last week, 'KDH' already secured the top spot in Netflix's all-time cumulative viewership records, surpassing Season 1 of 'Squid Game' and Season 1 of 'Wednesday' with 266 million views. An additional 25.4 million views have since been added, solidifying its leading position.

'KDH' was released on June 20th, and viewership will be counted until September 19th, completing its 91-day period. Netflix calculates its most-watched content based on cumulative views within 91 days of release.

Despite this remarkable success, the film's momentum has seen a slight dip. Between July 1st and 7th, it moved from the number 1 to the number 2 spot in the Netflix Top 10 movies worldwide.

However, the global phenomenon continues, particularly around the film's OSTs like 'Golden' and 'Soda Pop.' The animated movie, featuring the K-pop group Huntrix battling demons with the power of music, has been praised for its natural portrayal of K-pop, idols, and Korean culture. Notably, the OST 'Golden' is enjoying significant popularity, maintaining a strong presence on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. All eyes are on 'KDH' to see its final viewership score.

The animated film 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' features the fictional K-pop group Huntrix as its main characters.

It tells a story where the idols use the power of music to defeat evil spirits and save the world.

One of the main original soundtracks, 'Golden,' has garnered significant attention and sustained popularity on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
