As the Coupang Play comedy series 'Office Workers 2' continues its triumphant run amidst popular acclaim, cast member Kim Won-hoon and the production team have extended their heartfelt thanks to first episode guest, Hyeri.

During a press meeting on the morning of the 11th, PD Kim Min singled out Hyeri as an unforgettable and appreciated guest. He stated, "Hyeri was instrumental in establishing our program." He explained that during the initial filming, which was marked by some uncertainty, Hyeri's charming reactions allowed all their footage to be used without cuts, a crucial factor that paved the way for the show's second season.

Kim elaborated, "We reached out to many well-known figures, and fortunately, those who accepted our invitation have appeared on the show." He further noted that while explaining the show's concept was challenging during Season 1, Hyeri's episode served as an excellent reference point, making it easier for subsequent guests to understand the program, even though casting remains a difficult task.

'Office Workers 2' features a star-studded cast including Shin Dong-yup, Kim Won-hoon, Lee Soo-ji, Baek Hyun-jin, Cha Jung-won, Shim Ja-yoon, Kim Min-gyo, Hyun Bong-sik, and Ji Ye-eun. The series chronicles the survival stories of DY Planning employees, who dream of slacking off and leaving work on time, engaging in psychological battles with celebrity clients while creating comedic content. Their sharp wit and candid critiques of the guest stars provide a uniquely fierce yet relatable humor.

Hyeri previously appeared as a guest in the first episode of 'Office Workers' Season 1 last year. When Shin Dong-yup humorously asked if she had ever regretted posting something on social media due to intoxication, Hyeri replied in the negative. At this point, Kim Won-hoon playfully referenced the public dating scandal involving Hyeri with the phrase 'That's fun,' to which Hyeri responded, "It would be great if you only found it fun when it's actually fun. Right now, it's not."

Recalling the moment, Kim Won-hoon shared with reporters, "I expected the 'That's fun' line in Hyeri's episode to be edited out. I said it as a joke, but the atmosphere on set was intense. However, thanks to Hyeri's surprised reaction, the scene actually turned out hilariously well," he praised Hyeri for her gracious handling of the situation.

Meanwhile, 'Office Workers 2' secured the top spot on Coupang Play's popularity chart immediately upon its release on August 9th. The show's success is attributed to the cast's brilliant ad-libs that resonate with real office workers and the active participation of celebrity guests who fully immerse themselves in the show's unique world. New episodes are released every Saturday at 8 PM.

Kim Won-hoon, born in 1994, first gained significant recognition through his appearances on Coupang Play's 'SNL Korea Season 3' starting in 2022. He particularly resonated with audiences for his realistic portrayal of office life in the 'MZ Office' segment, which led to his widespread popularity. He is currently demonstrating a broader acting range in 'Office Workers 2'.
