Jung Woo-sung Faces Media for First Time Since Paternity Controversy and Marriage Rumors
Actor Jung Woo-sung made his first public appearance before the press after recent controversies surrounding a child out of wedlock and rumors of a marriage registration with a non-celebrity partner.
Jung attended the hand-printing ceremony for the 34th Buil Film Awards, held at the Signiel Grand Ballroom in Haeundae-gu, Busan, on the afternoon of the 18th.
He was present as the recipient of last year's Best Actor award for his role in the film '12.12: The Day'. The event included the hand-printing session, a red carpet walk, and the presentation of awards across 16 categories, including the Year's Star Award and the Yu Hyun-mok Film Arts Award.
This occasion marked Jung's first official encounter with reporters following the paternity controversy that emerged in November of last year.
Previously, model Moon Ga-bi announced her status as a single mother via social media, after which it was revealed that Jung Woo-sung was the child's father, causing considerable shock. Jung's agency, Artist Company, released a statement saying he would 'do his best as a father.' He also expressed his responsibility at the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards, stating, 'I will take all the blame.'
Recently, reports of his marriage registration with a non-celebrity girlfriend have further intensified public interest in his personal life.
Jung Woo-sung debuted in 1994 with the film 'The Fox with Nine Tails' and has since established himself as a prominent actor. He has showcased his versatility across various genres, earning widespread acclaim for his compelling performances. His recent portrayal in '12.12: The Day' has been particularly lauded, reaffirming his strong acting capabilities.
