Lee Seung-gi's Seoul Home Purchased for ₩5.6 Billion Now Valued Over ₩10 Billion

Speculation is mounting that the Seoul property acquired by singer and actor Lee Seung-gi in 2020 has now surged in value, potentially exceeding 10 billion won.

According to real estate industry reports, Lee Seung-gi purchased the residence located in Seongbuk-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, for approximately 5.635 billion won in late 2020. It is understood that he secured a 6.6 billion won loan from a bank, using his then-residence in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, as collateral to finance the purchase.

Analysis of current property values in the vicinity of Lee Seung-gi's home indicates transactions ranging from 23.06 million to 36.04 million won per pyeong. Based on these figures, the estimated current market value of the property is around 11 billion won, with an approximate value of 27.5 million won per pyeong.

The luxury residence spans from basement level one to the second floor, covering a land area of approximately 1000 square meters (about 300 pyeong) and a total floor area of 1200 square meters (about 360 pyeong). It is currently being used as the official residence of the Qatari Ambassador to South Korea. The neighborhood is known for being home to numerous chaebol families and prominent celebrities.

Lee Seung-gi recently tied the knot with actress Lee Da-in and they are now proud parents to a baby daughter. He is set to appear on the upcoming season of JTBC's popular audition program, 'Sing Again 4,' which is scheduled to premiere on October 14th, marking his continued engagement in the music scene.
