Kwon Ji-an, who has successfully transitioned from singer to artist, is set to captivate audiences in Portugal with her first solo exhibition.

The exhibition, titled 'Humming Letters,' will be held at Tilsitt Gallery in Porto, Portugal, from October 18th to November 30th. This marks Kwon Ji-an's debut solo show in Portugal, a significant milestone facilitated by an official invitation from Tilsitt Gallery last year.

Following a highly successful promotional exhibition at the Porto Intercontinental Hotel in August, which garnered enthusiastic responses from local visitors and collectors, the official exhibition dates were moved forward. The showcase features approximately ten pieces from Kwon Ji-an's representative 'Humming Letters' series. This collection visually interprets emotions that cannot be fully expressed through words, translating them into 'humming' sounds and merging them with imaginary landscapes.

Flavien Guiet, the director of Tilsitt Gallery, praised Kwon Ji-an's work, stating, "Artist Kwon Ji-an's art possesses a unique language that freely traverses between figurative and abstract. The messages embedded within the rich textures resonate powerfully not only with Portuguese collectors but also with those worldwide." This exhibition is poised to be a crucial stepping stone for Kwon Ji-an as she expands her artistic journey in the European arena.

Kwon Ji-an has garnered attention for her experimental approach to combining music and painting. She received the Grand Artist Award at the Barcelona International Art Awards in 2021 and was selected as the 'Artist of April' by Italy's ITS LIQUID GROUP, solidifying her presence in the international art scene. She continues to exhibit her work in countries like France, Italy, and Spain, establishing herself as a global artist. She plans to hold further exhibitions in Portugal following this show. Notably, six of her artworks were sold out even before an exhibition in 2021, highlighting her popularity.

Kwon Ji-an, also widely known by her stage name Solbi, is celebrated not only for her singing career but also for her remarkable talent in the visual arts. She has carved out a unique artistic identity, gaining recognition in both domestic and international art markets. Her artistic endeavors, bridging music and painting, offer fresh inspiration to her many fans.
